India's Forex reserves up by $3.53 bn

The country's foreign exchange reserves surged by $ 3.53 billion to touch a new lifetime high of $ 404.921 billion in the week to December 22, aided by an increase in foreign currency assets, as per RBI data. Overall forex reserves rose to $ 404.92 billion from $ 401.38 billion reported for the week ended December 15. The country's gold reserves value rose by $ 12.6 million to $ 20.71 billion, while SDRs inched up by $ 1.8 million to $ 1.50 billion.
